Harris County, TX Commissioner Rodney Ellis presented a resolution to help JACC celebrate the United States - Jordan Free Trade Agreement (FTA) anniversary.
The United States - FTA, implemented in 2001, has played a crucial role in strengthening economic relations between the two countries. It provides duty-free access for almost all Jordanian exports to the United States, which has been particularly beneficial for industries such as textiles and apparel. This agreement has facilitated increased trade volumes, with the total trade between the U.S. and Jordan reaching approximately $6.3 billion in 2022. Additionally, the FTA promotes investment and supports economic reforms in Jordan, serving as a model for regional economic cooperation and integration.
